Caught in the thrall of a dying black hole, one world looks to a neighboring galaxy for sanctuary. To navigate the harsh, uncharted depths of space, they send colossal mechs capable of surviving such a journey to find a new home. When none return, a second mission is mounted, both to carve a new foothold and discover what dangers might await.
